STYLE: Spring Wish List

The weather has been so weird here lately - sunny and eighty degrees one day and then GRAY AND GLOOMY for five days straight. Either way, my mind has been set to a permanent 72 degrees and sunny because it's SPRING and I love nothing more than to ditch coats and warm weather accessories and live in skirts and sandals and sunglasses and everything else sunny and bright. Since I made a fall fashion wish list, it seemed only appropriate to do the same for spring:
Spring Wish List

I am on the hunt for an amazing pair of wedge sandals (and am having pretty much daily worship visits to the Blowfish website to ogle those cork flatforms), skirts galore (chevron stripes a plus), cute, easy scarves/headwraps, the PERFECT pair of clogs (still hunting) and pretty much anything else that is non-wintery. I'm also really digging the shorter-in-the-front skirt look as well as pastel everything. Man, new seasons always make me want to shop like crazy!

What's your spring fashion must have?

BEAUTY: Multi-Color Manicure

I love color and using nail stickers, so this manicure was a no-brainer. Here's a super simple way to get a unique nail look with things you probably already have on hand:

What You Need
5 Nail Polish Shades
[I used Wet n Wild On a Trip, Sinful Colors Paradise, Sally Hansen Mint Sorbet, Loreal Yellow Buzz and Wet n Wild Sunny Side Up]
Black Nail Polish
[I used Wet n Wild Ebony Hates Chris]
Paper Reinforcement Stickers

How To Do It
1. Paint 1-2 coats of color on each finger and dry completely.

2. Place a reinforcement sticker on each nail to create a guide for the black tips.
It helps to stick them to your skin first to remove some of the stickiness.

3. Paint a coat of black polish on the tip of one finger.

4. Remove the sticker while the black polish is still wet. Repeat on remaining nails.

I stuck with pastel rainbow shades, but this could work with a bunch of color combos (ombre, fluorescents, etc.) and would also look great with another tip color, although I would recommend sticking to a dark shade for this part. I love using as many colors in one manicure as I can! What colors would you use?

Honeydew Melon & Lime Cooler Recipe

Despite this rainy week, I am having a serious summery frozen drink moment. I recently got a Ninja blender as a gift and I am pretttty excited about its blending capabilities. It crushes ice in like 2 seconds! I never realized the lack of slushy drinks I was getting from my regular blender and now I have SO MANY plans for more drinks! Here's an easy one that mixes some of my favorites fruits (in my favorite color):

What You Need
3 Cups Honey Dew Melon
Juice of 1 Lime
1 Cup Lime Sherbet
8 - 10 Ice Cubes
(I also used this knife, which is great if you cut a lot of melons)

How To Make It
1. Chop your melon and add to your blender.

2. Squeeze the lime onto the melon.

3. Add the lime sherbet and blend completely.

4. Add your ice and blend again until completely mixed.
Alternately, you can freeze the melon chunks for 30 minutes before and eliminate the ice.

Enjoy on your patio, balcony, lanai, couch or whatever with a wedge of lime, a breezy 'tude and a bendy straw.
